For a couple of years now, sleepwear (pajamas, sleep gowns, sleep
robes etc.) have increasingly been worn as outerwear or outing wear by some
celebrities. I have viewed this particular trend with mixed feelings maybe
because of my background, however, I could also say that I think a lot of
people especially in the Africa region have not embraced this “unusual trend”
of wearing sleepwear as outerwear. So wearing pajamas to the public place seems
to be a fashion taboo that seems to have been broken by some American and
British celebrities, hmm!!!!! Sounds interesting? But the big questions are, is
the “sleepwear as outerwear trend” a trend that has come stay for much longer?
Is it a trend meant only for people who have guts because I can assure you that
it takes gut for one to step out in a sleepwear; is it a trend that will in no
time spread across continent, being that popular African celebrities may not have
been spotted in sleepwear on red carpets or in parties yet?
