DIY/OOTD: The Multi-Colour Circle Designs Wide Leg Pant

Hi Lovelies, hope you had a fruitful day? Mine was good.

I made this wide leg pant about two weeks ago and I wore it for the first time today so I decided to post on my blog hoping that it could inspire you. I saw this Ankara fabric on one of my numerous visits to Lagos Island and I quickly jumped at it. I jumped at it because I like the bold multi coloured circles on it. I’d been looking for circle print fabric to use to sew a pant with the intentions to place the circles in vertical form from my thigh level to my toes. Here I have it! I patterned the pant to be high waist with wide band so it could look fab when tucked in.

DIY/OOTD: The Yellow A-Line Shift Dress

Hi Lovelies, hope you had a nice weekend and you are prepared for this week’s tasks? For me, my weekend was so fab, I had good rest, spent quality time with my family and then………guess what! I also spent some time with my sewing machine making garments for myself……….

The Front Slit Style that Trended Over The Weekend.

If you follow fashion trends you’ll always have stories to tell. Over the weekend, I’d spotted a style/trend that I can’t just keep quiet about and that is “the high front slit”. I’d spotted lots of celebrity rocking high front slits to different events and engagements over the weekend and you know what! I loveeee them.

Fab Outfits from AMAs 2016

The 44th American Music Awards 2016 which took place yesterday 20th of November 2016 at Microsoft Theater in LA could be describes as fabulous and entertaining. I see events like this as an opportunity to explore trending fashion and styles so what I look out for the most is the red carpets – for styles and fashion inspiration. This time white/ivory, red and black outfits took the center stage. Stars like Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Ciara, Jenny, Taraji P. Henson, Ariana Grande and more looked stunning in their outfits😁.

My End of the Year Wish List,I Dare to Dream

DVF Large Haircalf and Leather Hobo bag
I think it’s not absurd for one to wish for a thing or more. For me when I wish for something I begin to work for it……..therefore the regular definition that one’s wish list “is a list of things one wants, but usually can’t afford” is not always right……..lol.  I’ve got some lovely stuffs on my wish list which I hope to share here, maybe you could get inspired and not wish like me but actually go for them.

DIY/OOTD: The Appliquéd Pleat Skirt

Hey Lovelies, hope you had a nice weekend ?

Today, I wore one of my pieces, the appliquĂ©d pleat skirt. In case you didn’t know, black and white are my best colours, so you’ll be seeing a number of my pieces and work in black and white. I got the fabric I used in making this skirt from Daviva shop, they’ve got plain fabrics in varied colours and in easy to sew texture. After making the skirt, it looked so plain and ordinary so I thought I should add some designs to it to highlight it.  So I made circle and square shapes using some leftover yellow and orange fabrics I’d used in making dresses in the past, then placed them in contrasting manner at the hem area of the skirt.

Style Idea: Clog For The Weekend

Click here to shop this Gucci Clog
Every fashion piece will always make a comeback and so does clog shoe. When I was a child – don’t ask me what year it was…….Lol, my mum had a few wooden-soled footwears which I liked so much. So when I was in the university, I’d got a wooden soled sling back shoes as a gift from one of my  aunties, I was so excited because as a child I liked clog shoes and wish to own one someday. The longevity of clog shoes is amazing, I’d used mine from my second year in the university to my final year.

At CMA 2016 Awards, Women Who Wear Black Live Colourful Life

Hi Lovelies how has your week been? Hope fruitful! Maybe a little hitched here and there but then never quit.

At the CMA 2016 Awards ladies slayed and you know what, the black trend which I’d spotted in some other topnotch Awards held this year, 2016 is even more prominent in CMA 2016 Awards. See my post on 2016 Red Carpet review here and here.

So there were pop of colours in colours like navy blue, pink, red and beige but a better percentage of ladies on the Red had rocked black.

See for yourself…………….

The Hand Painted Denims

Macy's
Denim is always right!  This is how I feel something. But then you know that denims are acceptable in most work places and for different occasions. It can be rocked as casual outfit, small casual, sporty outfit, mixed and matched with Ankara and other print fabrics etc. Hey! You can go on and figure out more ways to rock denim by yourself. But the one that thrills me now is the hand painted denim which I have sported some time ago and had decided to ignore. But hey! It’s coming on stronger and stronger than I anticipated in Nigeria – it’s not a new trend around the world but then I am loving the way some of our celebs and fashionistas pulled theirs on during 2016 Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week(HLFDW).
