DIY/OOTD: The Yellow A-Line Shift Dress

Hi Lovelies, hope you had a nice weekend and you are prepared for this week’s tasks? For me, my weekend was so fab, I had good rest, spent quality time with my family and then………guess what! I also spent some time with my sewing machine making garments for myself……….

So I got this fabric and a number of other fabrics from Lagos Island. It’s yellow and the texture is cotton-linen-like. But then you know how it is when you have a fabric and you are battling with the most suitable style to sew with it. I battled with what to use this fabric for, however, the idea to sew a simple A-Line Shift dress popped-up to me and I did just that. Styling it, I decided to keep it simple so I went for a yellow peep-toes platform pump, a black ethnic design Hobo bag and simple jewelries.

So I seem to be excited for making this very dress and more and the reason is simple - I am a career woman, I’ve got three kids, I blog and I am a fashion designer who makes about 80% of her outfit by herself. My take about life is that “You can do just anything if you set your mind at it” hence my slogan “You can, if you Will. People and things around me inspire me but by greatest inspiration “is from within me”.
