My DIY: The Chevron Jumpsuit.

Hi Lovelies happy Monday. Hope you had a lovely weekend? As for me I did spend time with my family, they say “family is every thing” but again I had fun making a jumpsuit for myself. So I had bought this crepe fabric some months back from Lagos Island – the popular Central Mosque area and you know what, there are lots of lovely sample fabrics there. You could just take a stroll to see things for yourself.

Over the weekend I got inspired by one of my dad’s pictures taken in the 70s in a pant known then as “bongo trouser” and I decided to sew a wide leg pant. So to give my creation a more feminine touch I decided to make a jumpsuit and for a unique touch to the pieces, I opted for a “shawl collar”for the neckline. The whole idea is to create a-shawl-on-the-neck effect. To better accentuate my figure, and I’d added inverted tucks both in front and at the back of the bodice.
Rocking my“Wide Leg Shawl Collar Chevron Jumpsuit”, I opted for a gold studded strap sandals and a black belt which is a make shift as I am still working on a matching belt for this outfit.

It’s fun making my outfit myself. I will share more pictures when I am done making my matching belt.
Know that “You Can If You Will”.
Thanks for stopping by. Xoxo
