Hi Lovelies! Happy new month and
welcome to the month of April. I like to start my month on good notes; high
spirited with high but realistic laid down plans and goals for the month. And
you know what? Once I’d done this and with the grace of God I will always have my
month run smoothly.
Again, I decided to step into the month of
April in my lovely White Ola Bell Sleeve Ruffle Dress I DIY myself. Yeppyyy!! I had named this dress after my first daughter Olaedo, simply because of her reaction when I wore this dress after making it. She shouted in excitment "Wau!! Mummy, this white dress looks so lovely on you. I like it. Will you make one for me?
As usual, I bought this fabric, plain
white floral damask from Lagos Island sometime in 2016 and had kept it since
then because I wasn’t too sure of what style to sew with it. Lately, I’ve seen lots of
bell and oversized sleeves trend and I said to myself, why not make a dress with unique sleeves as mentioned above!
I’d cut the dress into an A-line silhouette
and then use an oversized bell sleeves on it. I had kept it simple but then had
decided to add some highlight to the dress by adding ruffle across the body
of the dress.
Styling the outfit: I had gone for
one of my favorite foot wears, the burnt orange court shoe and then my ShopMaju
orange bag.

Thanks for stopping by. Xoxo
