fine. Yeah, hitches there may be but “no quit spirit” is what we need.
I had this dungaree up on my Instagram page
for some time now however, I finally decided to post it on the blog knowing that
there may still be some who haven’t seen it yet.
This pieces is from “The
Ethnic Collection” and it happens to be one of the most loved piece from the
collection. Ankara has gone very global and one of the things that constantly come
to my mind while designing my pieces is ‘the need to redefine and re-position apparels
made using Ankara in a manner that it’s matches some global standards as well
as needs. So for example, a lot of work places now allow their workers the privilege
of wearing Ankara to the office. I see that shift from wearing the regular
classic cooperate wears to Ankara wear as an advantage to the present day African
fashion designers.
With this pieces I’d redefine the present day
career woman’s cooperate wear and to my greatest amazement it was highly
accepted.
