DIY/OOTD: 4 Ways to Rock the Chambray Flutter Top

Hi Lovelies, hope your day went well? I can’t seem to stop asking this particular question as I get to blog only at night but all the same I’ve got an interesting one for you tonight. I hope my style inspires you.

Today,I wore a chambray top which I made just yesterday. For me it was fun,fun, fun all the way, from the time I was sewing it to the moment I rocked it. You know how good it feels when you wear something and people keep throwing compliments at you? I got that today.......lol

I bought the fabric with which I made this top from Lagos Island. I was actually looking for denim material, then I stumbled on it and without thinking twice I grabbed it because I already have in mind what I could use it for.

Styling it, I went for one of my denim pants which has almost the same colour as the top(because I love monochrome) and then to highlight my look, I opted for a burnt orange court room shoe and a black clutch.

Another interesting part is, I will be showing you about 4 ways/styles in which this top can be rocked.

Style No 1: Rocked as Mom’s Blouse

In this case, I’d raise the neckline and flutter of the top to create this mom-like decent kind of look. So while in my office today, I’d worn this top in this manner. I may as well rock this top in this manner to my kids end of year school party and I would be creating that mom look thing………….lol.

Style No 2: Rocked as off shoulder

The neckline and the flutter was slightly pulled down to my shoulder blades to create the off-shoulder look. Ideal for a date with girlfriends and stuffs......lol

Style No 3: Rocked as tube/strapless top

So I’d pulled the neckline/the flutter and placed it under my armhole. This look is ideal for an evening/night hangout with hubby……..lol. Hope you got me.

Style No 4: Rocked as one shoulder/sleeve top

I’d pulled only one side of the neckline/flutter and placed it under my armhole. Ideal for dates with loved ones.
